I am a native Austinite, wife, daughter, sister, and proud mother of two growing boys. I arrived in the world of counseling via my work as an acupuncturist for almost 15 years, where I observed countless instances of underlying stress and unmet emotional needs in my clients that often led to other health issues like pain and chronic illness. I am now a graduate student at St. Edward’s University receiving my MA in Counseling and am passionate about helping others get to know themselves through depth-oriented psychotherapy.
I hold a BA in Psychology, Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM), and am also trained at the Intermediate level in Somatic Experiencing (SE) therapy, a body-oriented trauma therapy designed to foster regulation of the nervous system and release stress. My approach to therapy is very warm and relational, integrating experiential techniques like SE, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and bottom-up approaches that work toward the goal of meaningful change for my clients. I especially enjoy working with women, adolescents and young adults, and those who have experienced acute or complex trauma. I incorporate creativity, humor, and curiosity in my sessions to foster a relaxed environment welcoming of the whole individual.
I consider it a great privilege to support others as they explore their inner worlds and offer a compassionate, inclusive, mind-body-spirit approach to healing for all. If you’d like to take the first steps into therapy, or are looking for something new in your journey, I’d be delighted to meet you.
Twenty free minutes, no cost and no commitment. It ends in a recommendation, not an assignment, and you decide from there. If someone else on the team fits you better, they will say so.
Would you rather ask a question first? Our clinical practice manager is not in sessions and answers fastest, often same day and always within one business day.
