Food anxiety isn't just about food—it's often rooted in deeper emotional challenges, societal pressures, and life transitions common in your 20s and 30s. Whether it's the stress of career building, relationships, or social media's unrealistic standards, these issues can impact your confidence, health, and joy. At Decades Counseling, we focus on body image counseling that empowers young women to embrace self-compassion, challenge harmful thoughts, and build a positive relationship with your body. Our therapists use proven methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and sometimes even EMDR (focused on trauma) to address the root causes in a safe, non-judgmental space.
This integrated path is especially transformative for women 18-35 navigating life changes like college, early career, or starting families.
We know every person has unique needs. That’s why we offer flexible counseling sessions. While we recommend in-person sessions for the most value, we also offer virtual sessions or a combination of both, so you can choose what works best for your schedule.
You do not! We trust them with the nutrition side of things, but if you don't feel like you need a nutritionist, or you already have someone else you like to work with, that is perfectly fine!
While we don't take insurance up front, we would be happy to check your out of network benefits to see if your insurance plan allows for any reimbursement. Email call or text us below to check for you!
The number of sessions varies based on your needs, but many clients see progress within 6-12 sessions.
